How to set up Lead Stage Change Action in Goldilocks

Within Goldilocks, it’s easier than ever to take actions on your contacts when their Lead Stage updates with Lead Stage Change Actions. This Automation type, will ensure that any contacts who fall under a specific Lead Stage, will have set actions take place upon update, and whats more, you are able to configure these updates conditionally via our Lead Stage Change Actions.

How to Setup a Lead Stage Change Action

Via the Automations Tab, within Goldilocks, navigate to Marketing Center > Automations > Lead Stage Change Actions. Select the “+” icon to instantly be brought to the Lead Stage Change Actions setup page.

Within the Auomations Dashboard, you are also able to set this up, by selecting the “Create an Automation” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Upon selection, a drawer will slide out on the right side of the screen to set up your Lead Stage Change Action Automation.

You have the ability to create as many Lead Stage Change Automatons as you would like within your account.

To view/modify any setup automations, select the Automation type from the Automation Type filter on the dashboard.

Once set up, via the Automation Dashboard, you have the ability to Delete, Pause or Edit your Lead Stage Change Action.

Lead Stage Change Action Settings

When creating a Lead Scoring Threshold Automation, you will be presented with the following settings:

  • Name: Provide a name for your Lead Stage Change Action
  • Description: Optional- Provide a description for your Lead Stage Change Action
  • Take Actions when contacts achieve this Lead Stage: Select the Lead Stage specific to this Lead Stage Change Action Automation
  • Actions: Format the actions that take place upon Lead Stage Change, either at the global level, or conditionally.

Lead Stage Change Actions

When a contact achieves your set Lead Stage Change Action settings, any set of actions can take place. These actions can be global or conditional.

Set up Global Actions

Global Actions are actions that will be triggered for every contact that achieves your set Lead Stage.

To set up a Global Action, select “Actions” within the Global Actions section of the setup.

Available actions include:

  • Add to Classic Campaigns
  • Remove from Classic Campaigns
  • Add to Marketing List
  • Remove from Marketing List
  • Add to Subscription List
  • Remove from Subscription List
  • Adjust Lead Score
  • Set Lead Stage
  • Set Field Value
  • Create Tasks
  • If applicable: sync with your connected CRM

Set up Conditional Actions

Conditional Actions are actions that will be triggered only when a contact that achieved the Lead Stage and meets additional conditions of your choosing.

To set up Conditional Actions, within the Conditional Actions section, select “Add a Conditional Action”

Upon selection, you can give your conditional action a description. Once set, select “Conditions”. You will be directed to the segment builder, in which you are able to set the specific conditions, contacts must meet for your conditional action.

After conditions have been set, select “Apply Conditions”

These actions include:

  • Add to Classic Campaigns
  • Remove from Classic Campaigns
  • Add to Marketing List
  • Remove from Marketing List
  • Add to Subscription List
  • Remove from Subscription List
  • Adjust Lead Score
  • Set Lead Stage
  • Set Field Value
  • Create Tasks
  • If applicable: sync with your connected CRM

You may create any number of Conditional Actions as you would like, within your Lead Stage Change Action Automation.
