What Is Realtime Insight?

Realtime Insight refers to a cluster of high-level reports available in Net-Results.  The platform offers a vast array of reporting and tracking options, including the ability to view key metrics in real time. These in-the-moment views are great for monitoring the performance of your website.

Realtime Insight provides a list view of the following metrics. To check them out yourself, navigate to Reporting -> Realtime Insight, then choose from the following:

  • Popular Webpages
  • Search Phrases
  • Traffic Sources
  • Website Visitors
Note

In order to take advantage of this and other reporting features, you will need to be sure you have the Net-Results Tracking Beacon placed on your site. Read on to learn more about each of the specific list views provided.

Traffic Sources

Popular Webpages

View a list of popular pages by domain and landing page. This high-level report also provides the number of visitors and average page view duration filtered by segment and the specified date range.

Select Email Report (next to the Report Title) to send a more detailed version of this report to a designated email address right away or at regularly scheduled intervals.

The email address does not have to belong to a Net-Results user, and you may specify multiple recipients.

Search Phrases

When available, Net-Results will note the specific search phrases used to locate your website via search engine. Phrases will be ranked by the number of visits generated first, giving you an idea of the terms and phrasing users associate with your product.

As the title suggests, this report looks at complete phrases, as well as individual words used. It’s not uncommon to see a mixture of both in this report.

Did you just release a fantastic new Whitepaper that the industry is eating up? Don’t be surprised if  “Company Whitepaper 2019” appears in this list alongside other key industry and service provider terms.

Traffic Sources

Traffic Sources can help you determine where your visitors are coming from, and how much traffic each of those sources is responsible for generating in a given time period.  This includes traffic from major Search Engines (Google, Bing), and also may include specific webpages, advertisements, and paid search listings.

The number of visits for your selected date range will appear in the Visits column beside Traffic Source. You may sort your results in ascending or descending order by visit, or alphabetically by source.

Website Visitors

The Website Visitors report provides a brief rundown of who is visiting your site, based on details like Company Name (if known), Location, Referral Source, and UTM tagging.

Select Email Report (next to the Report Title) to send a more detailed version of this report to a designated email address right away or at regularly scheduled intervals.

The email address does not have to belong to a Net-Results user, and you may specify multiple recipients.
